Last week in RE we made a song about lent. We were in group and made the songs on Suno, we wrote what we wanted it to sound like and be about then it made two songs for us. My group and I chose a song and put it on a google video this is our song!

Last week we made a map of New Zealand and listed five places in the North Island and five in the South by there Māori names and there English names.
After that we put pictures of landmarks for that place. This is what I made:

This weeks gospel was Lk 21:25-28. 34-36 this is the gospel. We talked about what it was about and a phrase that stood out to us. After this we answered some questions on our slide these are my answers.
What word, phrase or sentence stood out to you and why?
“Every power in the sky will be shaken” Because I think it is God’s way of telling us to prepare for the second coming when it happens.
What does Advent mean and what do we do during the season of Advent?
Advent means Coming. In Advent we prepare for Christmas.
How will you prepare your heart for Advent? What will you do?

This week in honour of advent we made an advent calender and for everyday we have to do somthing kind it had to be diffrent for everyday in advent. I made it on google drawing this is mine:

Last week in writing we were supposed to AI generate our characters in our picture book using Canva. I had to generate two detectives and a mum and baby rabbit. I decided that my two detectives were going to be a Fennec fox and a squirall after I dicided I went to Canva and AI generated the animals.

This Week the gospel was about a window, Jesus shows the disciples that the rich people who put in a heap of money are just putting in spare change but then a window comes and putts in a couple coins that are equivalent to a penny and Jesus said that she gave more because they were giving change but she was giving everything she had. After we read that we have to awnser some questions here are the questions I aw
What would you do if you had two dollars to spend on a present for someone else?
I would not get much so I would go to the two dollar shop the dairy or I would just give it to them.
How do you feel when people enjoy what you chose for them?
I feel like a good friend because I got them something they like.
What is it like when people say thank you?
It feels nice because they like their gift.
Can you think of some ways you can be generous to others without needing to spend any money?
Give them a hug or just say happy birthday.
Jesus wanted to teach his disciples about what it means to be generous. Who did he use as an example to them?
A widow who gave everything she had and the rich people who gave leftover change.
Why did Jesus say she was more generous than the rich people even though she only gave two small coins?
Because that was all she owned.
If you were Jesus teaching the disciples, what would you hope would happen next in this story?
The disciples would listen and be more generous.
What do you think about the gospel?
This term in writing we are writing a picture book for the younger students to start we made a writing plan for this. My story is about two detectives they have a hidden base hidden deep underneath the water they get a call from a Rabbit who’s daughter’s toys have been stolen so they detectives set up a trap so when the thief comes they can catch them they wait for a long time then the trap is sprung and it turns out the theif was the Rabbit’s daughter! She wanted to be a detective so she stole the toys to get the detective’s attention to show them she was smart. The two detectives then set up a young spy programm for all they little animals that want to be detectives.

If you were to make a story what would yours be?
On November 1 was all saints day for our work we chose a saint and reserershed them I choose St Joan of Arc.
Then on November 2 was all souls day for that we chose a way different culture celebrates all souls day. I did Día de Muertos witch is celebrated in Mexico and Latin America.
